Pixie's coming home!

Mwhahahaha......

After four months of excitement, wonder, stress, tears and fears i am returning triumphant to my home town, St.Ives.

But only for a few days :-)

I havent given up on london quite yet!

I'm really looking forward to it, must admit, i have missed being able to walk everywhere in less than an hour. Can't wait to run around my old haunts.

My current list of things to do includes:

Giving a massive hug to my lovely family (of course!) :-)

Lying spreadeagled on the beach...all five of them.

Checking out Jayde's new flat.

Getting very drunk with friends in the pubs and the sazbar and possibly being carried home singing :-)

Being a customer in all three of the cafes i used to work in (i have missed Yellow Canarys Mississppi mud pies and bumbles cakes).

Enjoying mums cooking (nothing beats your mums cooking does it?)

I feel an update coming on...

Comrades!
Welcome!
Join me in my new pad, out your feet up, and let us catch up.
A lot has happened since last we spoke. Most importantly, I, together with comrade laura have fled the tyranny of our...landlady (to use a polite term). A huge fight between her and the two of us had us packing our bags before the sun came up. We were very lucky, after not much searching we have found outselves very nice digs in lovely Acton, which, yes, it must be admitted is hardly the centre of london, but is lovely nonetheless.
Very good advice was given to me when i was flat hunting which was to make sure a place felt right. Well friends, with this place, it was rather a case of love at first sight. It's a lovely Victorian terraced house (according to laura, like i'd know!) that instantly reminded me university digs, so it had an instant appeal. Mine and lauras rooms are on the ground floor, there is a lovely loungue/kitchen thats big enough for all six of us thankfully. At least one of the sofas turns into a sofa bed which is groovy, although i does make me jump when i walk in and find randoms sleeping in there. But ah well. I just make tea around them. Theres a nice bathroom in which the shower actually works! Wonders will never cease.
I love my room, it has a very comfy double bed (dont think ill ever be able to go back to a single again!) lots of storage space, a full length mirror and, best of all, a lock on my door! And i can close my door whenever i want! Silly to be pleased by such small things i know but nonetheless.
I have four really nice housemates.
Sonia and Baptiste, a couple who share one of the rooms.
James who's cool.
John who has been there the longest and who is the 'father' of the house. He looks after everyone. Is very organised with money which is ace.
There is a tescos round one corner, my bus stop to work round another.
And we are payng a fair bit less for this place that is already making me happier than living at margies ever did.
It's amazing the amount of stress and worry that has left me. I lok forward to coming home now as i can do my own thing without feeling like someones peering over my shoulder. Everyone here comes and goes as they please, we don't have to run anything by anyone, don't have to ask permission to have friends over, we hang out when we're in and our paths cross but thats it. No pressure, no expectations, just blessed blessed freedom!
*breathes a huge sigh or relief*
