Crossroads

Ok my friends, to cut a long story short, i went through a time of doubt recently, funnily enough right after my spell of homesickness, and was beginning to plan a temporary return to cornwall to regroup financially and then return triumphant with my pockets lined with gold. I have a job now which is great but after rent and tax and food etc theres not a whole lot left, which i wouldnt mind so much if i didnt have an overdraft to pay off. But i have decided to stick it out here (as i so love london) and go and speak to the bank.

Soooo yeah.

But things are looking up. I have regular work and im making friends :-) I had been feeling rather lonely in this big city on my own (for the most part) but i get on well with most of the people i work with so i took the plunge and asked one of them out for a coffee sometime.

But interestingly we never did get coffee. My chosen victim was Scott, an aussie who's in london for about a year before he continues gallavanting off around the world (lucky sod). He went to see Les Miserables after work the other day so i said do you fancy reviewing it over a cup of coffee, he said yes so i gave him my number and said ok give me a call and we'll arrange it.

So yesterday we met up. It was funny, being a literal kind of person i thought we'd just go for coffee, but we ended up spending the best part of a day together. He's doing the traveling thing and had a list of things to do and se whilst in london. So we went to Abbey road so he could get a photo of him on the famous Beatles crossroad. It took us ages to get there, and when i realized why we were there i shouted at him lol.

Then we went to Harrods which was fun. We spent two hours exploring it (it's huge!) pretending we could afford stuff. They have a chocolate bar! My mouth was watering. I tried on a truly horrible ring, was £9,000!

So i had a whistle-stop tour round london doing the tourist thing. Good laugh.
